Patna, Bihar: A student preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) has shared her experience of alleged harassment during a train journey in Bihar, highlighting concerns about women’s safety on public transport. According to the student, she was travelling in the general compartment of the Patliputra Express from Chhapra to Siwan when several elderly male passengers allegedly attempted to touch her through the gap beneath the upper berth where she was resting. She stated that despite requesting them to stop, the behaviour continued, prompting her to move to another compartment. The student further alleged that while standing between the general and AC coaches due to overcrowding, a man claiming to be associated with railway exam assistance allegedly approached and harassed her by offering to help her clear examinations in exchange for money. She later shared her experience on social media to raise awareness about the safety challenges faced by women during train travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
