The Division Bench found him guilty of rape and outraging the modesty of a woman under the relevant&nbsp;provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The Court sentenced him to&nbsp;10 years of rigorous imprisonment&nbsp;and&nbsp;imposed a fine,&nbsp;observing&nbsp;that the trial court had wrongly granted the benefit of doubt despite the evidence on record.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Action to be Taken:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities should ensure the prompt execution of the court&#8217;s sentence and provide continued legal and psychological support to the survivor. Institutions and workplaces must strengthen mechanisms for preventing and reporting sexual harassment, ensure compliance with workplace safety laws, and conduct regular awareness and sensitization programmes.
