Munnar police registered a case against the 50-year-old teacher under the Juvenile Justice Act. The student reportedly stayed away from school for a week and was taken to Chithirapuram Government Hospital for treatment after complaining of head and eye pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Action to Be Taken<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Schools should strictly prohibit corporal punishment and ensure that all complaints of physical abuse are investigated.
