The attack, which reportedly took place in front of the couple&#8217;s daughters, has led to the arrest of the accused on charges including attempted murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police identified the accused as Satheesan (55). According to investigators, tensions arose after he allegedly demanded that his wife, Rema, provide property-related documents and stand surety for him in connection with a criminal case. Rema, who had been working in Ernakulam, had recently returned home following her   husband&#8217;s request. Authorities said an argument broke out when she refused to hand over the required documents. During the confrontation, Satheesan allegedly attacked her with a kitchen knife, stabbing her in the abdomen while their daughters witnessed the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Family members and local residents rushed the injured woman to a nearby hospital. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was later transferred to the Government Medical College Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram for specialized treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the attack, the accused reportedly fled the area. Police launched a search operation and arrested him near his residence the following morning. After undergoing medical examination, he was produced before a court. Kannanalloor Police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation into the incident.
