The woman, who works as a manager at a private hotel in&nbsp;Cheranelloor, appeared in footage recorded during a drug raid conducted on June 5. Although three individuals were arrested and narcotic substances and cash were seized, the manager was only a witness and not an accused. After the footage circulated, many people wrongly assumed she was involved in the crime,&nbsp;reportedly causing&nbsp;problems for her and her family. She&nbsp;subsequently&nbsp;filed complaints with the Excise Deputy Commissioner and the Kochi City Police Commissioner&nbsp;seeking&nbsp;to clear her name.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Legal Significance&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This case highlights the importance of the presumption of innocence and the duty of law-enforcement agencies to avoid releasing information that may wrongly&nbsp;identify&nbsp;innocent persons as accused individuals.
