A notable trend throughout the week was the high proportion of incidents involving children and adolescents, indicating that minors continue to be among the most vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several reported cases originated within homes or involved close relatives, including incidents of sexual abuse by family members, attempted murder by spouses, assaults by siblings, and suspected murders during robbery attempts. These cases demonstrate that women and girls continue to face significant risks within domestic environments, where abuse often remains hidden until reported through family members or intervention by authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Educational institutions also emerged as an important setting in this week&#8217;s reports. School counselling sessions played a crucial role in uncovering multiple POCSO offences, while another incident involving corporal punishment resulted in serious injury to a student. These cases highlight both the importance of child protection mechanisms within schools and the need for stronger safeguarding policies to prevent abuse and ensure timely reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reporting period also showed encouraging evidence of prompt law enforcement action. Several accused persons were arrested shortly after complaints were filed, investigations were initiated quickly, and one previously reported POCSO case resulted in judicial conviction.
