Two Minor Girls, Including POCSO Survivor, Reported Missing in Aluva; Police Launch Investigation 

Ernakulam: Police have launched a search operation after two minor girls were reported missing from Aluva. One of the missing girls is a 16-year-old survivor of a POCSO case. Investigators are examining whether the accused in her earlier sexual assault case had any involvement in or connection to her disappearance. Police have registered missing person cases, initiated searches, and are gathering evidence, including CCTV footage and witness statements, to trace the girls. The incident has raised concerns about the safety and protection of child survivors of sexual offences. 

Action to be Taken 

Authorities should conduct an intensive search to locate the missing girls as quickly as possible, investigate all possible leads, and determine whether any criminal offence, including abduction or intimidation, is involved. If the earlier POCSO accused is found to have any connection to the disappearance, strict legal action should be taken. Child survivors should be provided with continuous protection, counselling, and monitoring to ensure their safety, while communities should promptly report any information that may assist the investigation.
