• Abuse of Authority by Sports Coach (Palghar, Maharashtra): Football coach Abhijit Mendal was arrested for utilizing his position of trust to sexually abuse a minor trainee for three years under the guise of building her sports career, while blackmailing her into silence using illicitly recorded videos and photos.
• Exploitation of Minor Showroom Employee (Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh): Ashok Kumar Rastogi, a prominent jeweler, was arrested under the POCSO Act for repeatedly raping a minor  employee at his farmhouse after luring her under the pretext of teaching her to ride a scooter. The accused was out on bail for a similar prior offense.
• Field Ambush and Gang Rape (Uttar Pradesh): A 24-year-old woman was intercepted by five men while gathering grass in a field under the Chharthawal police jurisdiction. The perpetrators forced an intoxicating substance on her, rendering her unconscious, and gang-raped her.
• Infant Rape and Homicide (Chennai): A minor daughter of migrant labourers from Bihar died from severe internal trauma at Government Stanley Hospital after being lured away with chocolates and sexually assaulted by a 19-year-old neighbour named Sanjay.
• Begusarai Gang Rape Investigation (Bihar): Medical examinations and forensic protocols were initiated after a local woman filed a complaint alleging she was overpowered and gang-raped by multiple individuals.
• Casting Couch Disclosures (Mumbai): Bollywood actress Maanvi Gagroo publicly revealed an early-career experience where she was offered more than ₹1 lakh to “compromise,” sparking renewed discussions on workplace harassment and the relevance of the POSH Act.

2. Coercive Religious Conversion and Blackmail
