Minor Schoolgirl Sexually Assaulted by Multiple Men; Massive Police Crackdown Underway

Rajasthan:A minor schoolgirl was allegedly subjected to a horrific multi-day sexual assault after being trapped by a local network in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. The incident began when the victim, who was traveling late at night to meet a friend, requested assistance from an auto-rickshaw driver to reach her home. Instead of helping, the driver allegedly took the minor and handed her over to a hotel owner in exchange for money. Over a span of several days, she was moved across multiple local hotels, forced to consume alcohol, and repeatedly assaulted by dozens of individuals, including hotel proprietors and managers. Following a missing person complaint registered by her family, law enforcement tracked the victim’s location via mobile signals, conducted a targeted rescue operation, and safely liberated her.

 Law enforcement authorities have launched a massive crackdown, already apprehending ten suspects—including the hotel owners implicated in facilitating the crime—while dedicated police teams continue to conduct active raids to track down the remaining individuals involved in the network. The accused are being booked under the stringent provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act alongside relevant clauses of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for gang rape and human trafficking. Beyond the criminal charges, authorities are initiating strict administrative actions against the involved hotels, which includes the cancellation of their operating licenses. Meanwhile, the minor has been placed under immediate medical care, and specialized psychological counseling is being provided to support her recovery process.
