Woman Allegedly Assaulted and Publicly Humiliated Over Property Dispute

Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh: Police have registered a case against 11 people in connection with the alleged assault and public humiliation of a 30-year-old woman following a property dispute. According to police, the woman had returned to her husband’s family home to seek her share of the family property when an argument reportedly broke out. Authorities stated that several members of the family allegedly assaulted her, cut her hair, forcibly removed her clothing, placed a garland of shoes around her neck, and paraded her through the village. Police have arrested three accused, including three women among those named in the case, while efforts are underway to trace the remaining suspects. The investigation is ongoing, and the allegations remain subject to legal proceedings.
