According to police, the accused has been booked on charges of abetment of suicide. Authorities stated that the accused had allegedly assaulted the woman shortly before her death. Police further alleged that he had pressured her to convert her religion and marry him, despite her opposition after learning about his behaviour. Investigators also stated that the accused had allegedly recorded the woman’s private photos and videos and threatened to circulate them when she attempted to distance herself from him. The investigation is ongoing, and the allegations remain subject to legal proceedings.
