Kerala High Court Hears Nava Kerala Yatra Assault Case

Kochi: The Kerala High Court adjourned the hearing on a petition filed by the Kerala Government seeking the cancellation of bail granted to five police officers accused in the Nava Kerala Yatra assault case. The officers are alleged to have used excessive force during an incident connected with the Nava Kerala Yatra, leading to allegations of assault and abuse of authority. 

The State Government argued before the High Court that the allegations against the accused officers are serious and that allowing them to remain on bail could affect the fairness of the ongoing investigation and trial. The prosecution requested the court to revoke the bail granted earlier and ensure that the case proceeds without any influence or interference. 

Action to be Taken 

The investigation should continue impartially, all evidence should be examined thoroughly, and the legal proceedings should be completed without unnecessary delay. If the allegations are proven, appropriate legal action should be taken against those responsible while ensuring a fair trial for all parties involved.
