Kerala High Court Dismisses Survivor’s Plea to Re-register FIR Against Police Officers

The Kerala High Court dismissed a petition filed by a sexual assault survivor seeking the re-registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against police officers. The survivor alleged that the initial investigation into her complaint was inadequate and requested a fresh FIR against the officers involved. After examining the case, the High Court declined the request, stating that there were insufficient legal grounds to order the re-registration of the FIR.
