Police Officer Accused of Raping Woman Inside Police Station in Pakistan 

Pakistan: A woman alleged that she was raped inside the Ghaziabad Police Station in Lahore by an assistant sub-inspector. Following the allegations, authorities suspended the entire police station staff and launched an investigation into the incident. Senior police officials stated that legal proceedings had begun and that action would be taken based on the findings of the investigation. 

Action to be Taken: 
The investigation should be conducted promptly, independently, and transparently. The survivor should be provided with medical care, psychological counselling, legal assistance, and protection throughout the investigation. If the allegations are substantiated, those responsible should be prosecuted in accordance with the law, and institutional safeguards should be strengthened to prevent abuse of authority and ensure accountability within law enforcement.
