15-Year-Old Girl Found Dead; Three Arrested for Alleged Rape and Murder

Assam: A 15-year-old Class IX student was found dead at her home in Hailakandi district, Assam. Following a preliminary investigation, police arrested three men on allegations of rape and murder. The case sparked widespread public concern, and the investigation is continuing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities have also constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to ensure a thorough probe.

The Special Investigation Team should conduct a prompt, impartial, and comprehensive investigation. The victim’s family should be provided with legal and psychological support, and the accused should be prosecuted swiftly if the allegations are proved. Authorities should also strengthen measures for child protection, community awareness, and prevention of sexual offences against minors.
