2017 Actress Assault Case – State’s Appeal Admitted by Kerala High Court

Kochi: The Kerala High Court considered proceedings relating to the 2017 actress abduction and sexual assault case. The hearing concerned legal proceedings arising from the long-pending investigation and trial. The matter represents a continuation of judicial proceedings in one of Kerala’s most high-profile crimes against a woman and does not involve a new offence reported on 5 August 2026.

All evidence should be thoroughly examined, and any attempts to influence witnesses or obstruct justice must be dealt with strictly under the law. If the accused are found guilty, appropriate legal punishment should be imposed in accordance with the law.
