2017 Actress Assault Case (High Court Sentence Suspension Dismissal)

Kochi: The Kerala High Court dismissed a plea for suspension of sentence filed by Martin Antony, the second accused in the 2017 actress abductions and assault case. A Division Bench of the High Court ruled that strong prima facie evidence proves Antony actively participated in the conspiracy and helped stage a fake collision to trap the victim’s vehicle.

A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court rejected his plea, ruling that prima facie evidence—such as phone records and survivor testimony—demonstrates he actively conspired in the fake collision setup and assisted the assault, while also noting that he previously violated bail conditions by posting defamatory videos about the survivor.
