Gujarat Man Held for Allegedly Raping and Killing 76-Year-Old Woman
Rajkot, Gujarat: Police arrested a 33-year-old man, Ramesh Vaidhukiya, in connection with the alleged rape and killing of a 76-year-old woman whose body was found near Aji Dam on August 21. Police said CCTV footage showed the accused allegedly picking up the woman in his autorickshaw after promising to take her home. Investigators allege that he subsequently assaulted and raped her and later killed her. The allegations are part of the ongoing investigation.

Older women living or travelling alone should have reliable emergency contacts and access to safe transportation. Suspicious disappearances should be reported to police without delay.
