Kannur:Police arrested a migrant worker from Uttarakhand in connection with a case alleging the sexual assault of a five-year-old girl in Panur. The accused was reportedly working as a construction worker in the area and was arrested from Ratnagiri, Maharashtra.

The case should be investigated under applicable POCSO provisions, with the child provided appropriate medical, legal and psychological support.
