Man Arrested in Palakkad Double-Murder Case Involving Woman and Child

Palakkad: Police took Provat Das into custody in West Bengal in connection with the alleged murders of Pronita and her daughter Joshita in Attappadi, Palakkad. Police said the accused claimed that a verbal altercation preceded the killings, but officers said the motive remained unclear. The investigation found that the woman and child had been brought to Kerala to work at a nursery. Police also said the woman suffered multiple chop wounds and the child was allegedly strangled.
