Minor Girl Sexual-Assault Case: Absconding Accused Arrested
Thrissur: Police arrested a 41-year-old man who had allegedly been absconding in a case involving the sexual abuse of a minor girl after allegedly promising to marry her. The accused was taken into custody from Erumapetty in connection with the Cheruthuruthy police investigation. Police also said previous cases had been registered against him.
Action to Be Taken
POCSO allegations involving children should be investigated promptly, with the child’s identity protected and appropriate legal and counselling support provided.
