Kannur: A 48-year-old village officer was arrested after a 22-year-old woman complained that he allegedly obtained her phone number when she visited his office for her father’s death certificate and subsequently sent her obscene messages. The complaint also alleged that he later came to her house at night. A separate complaint by the officer led to a counter-case against the woman, her husband and others over an alleged assault on him.
