German Police Investigate Alleged Sexual Harassment of Teenager by Robot
Cologne, Germany:Police investigated an incident in which a robot allegedly touched the buttocks of a 16-year-old girl and made sexually suggestive movements. Police said the robot was reportedly operated by two young men, aged 16 and 19, who allegedly filmed and streamed the incident online. Investigators seized the robot and examined whether its movements were remotely controlled or preprogrammed. The two individuals were suspects but had not been charged at the time of the report.
Action to Be Taken
Authorities should investigate the incident and determine who controlled the robot. People should not record or share footage of sexual harassment involving minors, and suspected abuse should be reported to the appropriate authorities.
