Court Sentences Man to Death for Rape and Murder of Nine-Year-Old Girl
Karnataka :A special court in Mysuru sentenced a 32-year-old man to death for the rape and murder of a nine-year-old girl in October 2025. The court had convicted him on 15 October 2026 under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The prosecution relied on witness testimony, documentary records and forensic evidence. The child’s identity is withheld to protect her privacy.
