Rukmini Vasanth Calls Out Objectification of Women Through Intrusive Photography

Kantara 2 actress Rukmini Vasanth has spoken out against the objectification of women in the film industry, condemning the practice of capturing and circulating photos and videos of female actors from inappropriate angles.

Supporting concerns first raised by Sapthami Gowda, Rukmini said such images focus on women’s bodies rather than their work and amount to a violation of dignity. She urged photographers and media personnel to maintain professionalism and respect while covering public events.

Actresses Divya Spandana, Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur have also previously raised concerns over intrusive photography and inappropriate images circulating online.

Rukmini said female actors stand united in demanding respect and condemning deliberate zoom-ins and objectionable camera angles at public appearances.
