Advocate’s father dies after alleged retaliatory attack linked to domestic-violence case
Ernakulam:An 80-year-old man died while undergoing treatment after allegedly being attacked at his home in an incident reportedly linked to a domestic-violence case handled by his lawyer son. Manorama reported that the attack was allegedly carried out in retaliation for taking up the case. The incident is under police investigation.
Action to Be Taken:
Threats or violence connected to domestic-violence cases should be reported immediately, and protection should be provided to survivors, complainants and those assisting them.
