Brother and Sister-in-Law Booked for Allegedly Assaulting Woman Over False Gold Theft Accusation

Ernakulam: Police have registered a case against a man and his wife for allegedly assaulting his sister after accusing her of stealing a gold chain. According to police, the incident occurred at Nandikulangara in Paravur, where the woman was allegedly beaten by her brother and sister-in-law. During the investigation, police found that the chain was imitation jewellery and that the theft allegation had allegedly been fabricated to avoid repaying ₹1 lakh owed to the victim. A case has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing. The allegations remain subject to legal proceedings.
