Domestic Dispute Turns Fatal: Woman Killed by Husband in Nalanchira

Thiruvananthapuram: A 36-year-old woman, Hasina Beevi, was allegedly murdered by her husband, Suresh (46), at their rented house in Nalanchira on Wednesday. The couple and their four children had been living in the area for the past four months.

According to police, the couple belonging to Vattiyoorkavu had frequent fights and Hasina had approached the police a day before the incident with complaint against her husband but later returned home. On Wednesday, Suresh slit her throat following a domestic dispute and fled the scene in a car.

The couple’s eldest daughter alerted the police after the incident. Officers rushed to the scene and took Suresh into custody. Hasina died from her injuries, and her body was shifted for post-mortem examination.

Police have registered a case and launched a detailed investigation into the circumstances leading to the murder.
