Elderly Woman Allegedly Assaulted at Her Home in Ottapalam; Youth Arrested
Palakkad: A young man was arrested after an elderly woman in Ottapalam alleged that he entered her home, assaulted her and attempted to sexually assault her. Asianet News reported that the woman lived alone and that the accused had allegedly approached the house asking about a room for rent before the incident. Police registered a case and took the accused into custody.

Older women living alone should have trusted emergency contacts and should seek immediate help from neighbours or police when an unknown person enters their home or behaves threateningly.
