Ex-Boyfriend Allegedly Stabs Newly Married Woman; Attempts Suicide

Bengaluru, Karnataka: An 18-year-old woman was seriously injured after her former boyfriend allegedly attacked her with a knife at her residence in Ramagondanahalli, Bengaluru. According to police, the accused, also 18 years old, allegedly entered the woman’s house and stabbed her multiple times on her neck, hands, ribs, and thigh after she recently married another man. Police stated that the two had previously been in a relationship, and the accused was reportedly upset over her marriage. After the attack, the accused allegedly attempted suicide by slashing his own throat. The woman is undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital, while the accused is receiving treatment at Vaidehi Hospital. Police have registered a case of attempted murder under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the investigation is ongoing. The allegations remain subject to legal proceedings.
