Excise preventive officer arrested in POCSO case
Kottayam:Police arrested a 46-year-old preventive officer of the Kanjirappally Excise Range in a case registered at Mundakayam police station alleging sexual assault of a minor girl. The officer was already under suspension following a separate complaint concerning alleged misconduct toward a female colleague.
Action to Be Taken:
The allegations should be investigated independently, with appropriate child-protection measures and due legal process.
