According to law enforcement authorities, the initial incidents occurred while the family was residing abroad and continued after they returned to Kerala. The victim’s mother passed away from an illness abroad in 2020, after which the alleged abuse escalated. The matter came to light when the minor disclosed the situation during a routine counseling session at her school. An official case was initially registered by the Kottarakkara police and was subsequently transferred to the Adoor police station for a jurisdictional investigation. The suspect has been taken into custody, and the allegations remain subject to formal legal and judicial proceedings.
