Kasaragod Private Bus Crew Accused of Discriminating Against Women Passengers

Kasaragod: A complaint was filed against the crew of a private bus in Kasaragod after women passengers allegedly were prevented from boarding the bus when their KSRTC bus broke down at Kanathur. According to the complaint, the crew allegedly said that only male passengers would be allowed to board. The complainant alleged gender discrimination and unsafe boarding practices and sought action from the transport authorities.

Action to Be Taken
Transport authorities should investigate complaints of gender discrimination and unsafe treatment of women passengers and ensure that public transport services provide equal and safe access to all passengers.
