Ernakulam: A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged attempted robbery and sexual assault at a house in Perumbavoor. According to police, the accused allegedly entered the house when no one was present and attempted to break open a cupboard to commit theft. Authorities stated that when the woman returned home, the accused, who was allegedly hiding inside the house, sexually assaulted her before fleeing after neighbours responded to her cries for help. Police later traced and arrested the accused. A case has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing. The allegations remain subject to legal proceedings.
