Man Arrested After Allegedly Pouring Boiling Rice Water at Wife in Malappuram
Malappuram: Areekode police arrested a 47-year-old man after he allegedly poured boiling rice water at his wife following a domestic dispute. The woman reportedly moved away, and the hot water fell on their eight-year-old daughter, who suffered serious burns. Police said the accused was arrested after allegedly going into hiding and was later remanded by the court.
Action to Be Taken
Domestic violence should be reported promptly to police or appropriate women’s support services. Children injured during domestic violence should also receive immediate medical care and protection.
