Man Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault Near Shoranur Railway Station

Shoranur,Palakkad: A man was arrested by the police in connection with an alleged sexual assault incident that occurred in the Shoranur railway area. According to reports, the accused is alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman, following which a complaint was lodged and an investigation was initiated by the police. Acting on the complaint and the evidence gathered during the preliminary investigation, the police traced and arrested the suspect. The accused has been produced before the court and further investigation is underway.  

The incident has raised concerns regarding the safety of women in and around public transport facilities, particularly railway premises and transit areas. The investigation is expected to focus on witness statements, CCTV footage, forensic evidence, and other relevant materials to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged offence.
