Man Booked for Alleged Sexual Exploitation and ₹41.25 Lakh Fraud Through Matrimonial Site

Thane, Maharashtra: Police have registered a case against a 38-year-old man for allegedly sexually exploiting a 36-year-old divorced woman and cheating her of ₹41.25 lakh after posing as a wealthy businessman. According to police, the accused befriended the woman through a matrimonial website and falsely claimed to be a hotel owner and civil engineer. Authorities stated that he allegedly promised to marry her and care for her child, gaining her trust before repeatedly sexually exploiting her at various locations in Navi Mumbai and at her residence in Kalyan East. Police further alleged that the accused fraudulently obtained ₹41.25 lakh from the woman, sold one of her cars using forged documents, and unlawfully took possession of another vehicle. Investigators suspect he may have used a similar method to target other women. The accused is currently absconding, and efforts to trace him are underway. The allegations remain subject to legal proceedings.
