Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates: The Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court has sentenced a Gulf national to death after finding him guilty of the deliberate murder of a 66-year-old woman and her two daughters in a shooting incident that shocked the UAE. According to court records, the attack stemmed from a dispute over a vehicle parked in front of the victims’ home, which blocked the roadway. Authorities stated that the accused used a vehicle and an unlicensed firearm during the attack, killing the elderly woman and her daughters, aged 36 and 38, while a 47-year-old daughter survived with injuries. The court also convicted the accused of attempted murder and issuing death threats. In the same case, the accused’s son was sentenced to imprisonment and fined for attempted murder and threatening another member of the victims’ family. Under UAE law, the convicted man has the right to appeal the death sentence within 15 days.
