Woman allegedly raped after being drugged — Delhi
Delhi: A 22-year-old woman working as a makeup artist allegedly reported that she was sexually assaulted twice by a man she had met through social media. According to police, she was allegedly given a drink containing sedatives before the assaults. The woman later became unwell and was admitted to a hospital. Police are investigating the complaint and the circumstances surrounding the alleged offences.
Action to be taken
Police should conduct a proper and impartial investigation, preserve relevant evidence, and ensure the survivor receives medical care, legal assistance and appropriate protection. The accused should be dealt with according to law if the allegations are established.
