Woman KSRTC Conductor Assaulted – Ernakulam

Ernakulam: Ernakulam police arrested a man identified as Shibin for allegedly assaulting a female KSRTC conductor during a dispute over a seat reserved for women. According to the report, the accused allegedly attacked the conductor with a mobile phone. Police subsequently arrested him in connection with the incident. 

Action to be taken: 
Police should complete the investigation promptly, ensure the safety of the woman involved, collect available CCTV and witness evidence, and proceed with appropriate legal action. Transport authorities should also strengthen measures to protect female staff from violence and ensure that disputes over reserved seating do not escalate into physical attacks.
