Young Woman’s Death in Cherkala Sparks Dowry Harassment Investigation

Kasaragod: Police have launched an investigation into the death of a young married woman in Cherkala following allegations of dowry-related harassment by her husband’s family. The woman’s relatives have alleged that she had been subjected to continuous mental and emotional abuse after her marriage over dowry demands.

According to family members, the victim had reportedly informed relatives about repeated harassment in the months leading up to her death.
