Youth Sentenced to 25 Years for Sexual Assault of Minor Girl
Idukki: A court sentenced R Amal, a resident of Kollam, to 25 years’ rigorous imprisonment and imposed a ₹2.20 lakh fine for sexually assaulting a minor girl. According to the prosecution case reported by Onmanorama, the accused had befriended the girl through social media, allegedly assaulted her multiple times and continued harassing her after she tried to distance herself. The case had been registered by Kanchiyar Police in 2023.
